Painting a Color Wheel for Pyrography, Gourd Art, and Wood Carving

STEP 17
I have added black gel pen line accents to my gold outlines. So as your eye glides along any outline some areas will be gold and some will blend to black.

With the metallic gold gel pen fill in the small leaves on the three scroll branches.

Use a medium pale yellow gel pen to accent the flower center and a white gel pen to create the stamens in the flower petals.

You can accent the bottom of each petal with a metallic gel pen of the same color.

STEP 18
With the color wheel flower painting completed I accented my plywood scrapbook cover with metallic glitter Duck tape. I used both silver and gold 3/4” wide tape and cut the tapes into 1/4” and 1/8” strips.

With gloss or semi-gloss acrylic spray sealer give your scrapbook cover two to three light coats of sealer. Its ready for you to begin adding your scrapbook pages.

I have worked this Color Wheel Flower using just eight colors – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, white, and black. My finished flower has 36 distinct, and unique colors, tones, and pastels.

But this is just the beginning of the number of colors you can create using that basic kit as each new color can now be mixed with other colors to create more and more and more wonderful shades for your next project!
